When You DON’T Need Permits – Exemptions

Small Gatherings

Events with fewer than 20 participants are exempt from permit requirements.

Threshold: <20 people

Purpose-Built Venues

Events at schools, churches, hotels, conference centers, stadiums when used for normal purposes.

Note: Must stay within normal use parameters

Small Structures

Staging platforms under specific height thresholds don’t require structural permits.

Small Tents
