A Kimberley institution that has hosted more functions than anywhere else in town - the venue itself claims over 18,300 - and sits just minutes from the airport. It is the budget play: halls, a lapa for a proper Northern Cape braai, 63 cheap rooms and quick turnaround service. But go in with eyes open. TripAdvisor scores the accommodation 2.5, and the complaints are not subtle. Use it for staff parties, training days and crew logistics; put your VIPs at the Kimberley Anne. The venue quotes 2026 function catering direct from R130 per person for breakfast up to R310 for a three-course plated menu, with braai, spitbraai and potjiekos concepts in between — and it throws in the linen, chair covers, underplates and red carpet at no extra cost.

2026 function quotation issued 12 August 2026 by Ina de Koning, Events & Conference Manager (Horseshoe Motel BK t/a Horseshoe Inn). All rates VAT inclusive and quoted per person. Oxtail on the three-course menu carries a R15 per person surcharge. A 50% deposit secures a function booking; the venue confirms conference/function bookings on a 30% deposit with the balance due 72 hours before arrival, and bookings are handled first come, first served where multiple quotes exist for the same date. Cancellations must be in writing: free 7+ days before arrival, 100% of the booking value within 6 days or on the day. House rule: no outside food, cold drinks or alcohol may be brought onto the premises, and leftover food remains the property of the Horseshoe. Rates supplied direct by the venue and subject to change — confirm at time of booking.
