Mokala is SANParks' malaria-free gem an hour southwest of the city, and unlike most 'lodge conferencing' in this market its facilities are officially documented: two centres, Mosu and Mofele, each doing 80 theatre with projectors, screens and full-day packages, plus Mosu Lodge beds and big game outside the window. It is government-run, so expect solid rather than plush - but for a strategy lekgotla where rhino at the waterhole replaces the coffee-queue small talk, nothing nearby competes.
