The Feather Market is Gqeberha's heritage showpiece - an 1885 Victorian market hall, national monument, now a multi-hall venue where the Main Hall takes 1,187 and Selley Hall 1,000, at municipal rates the Boardwalk can't touch. The character does work a modern box can't, and two foyers handle registration and breakaways. The trade-off is heritage rules: rigging and fixings are constrained, there's no documented in-house catering, so B&W brings the production and confirms the fixing rules before designing. For a gala or exhibition wanting Victorian grandeur on a real budget, it's the CBD's best-kept play.
