Overview & Capacity

The Olive is the sensible step down from the ICC: 10,000-plus square metres across four halls and fifteen smaller rooms on the Golden Mile, holding up to 1,950 without the congress-centre price tag. Built on the old Durban ice-rink site, it comes with in-house AV, lighting, live-streaming and - crucially for KZN - a backup generator, so loadshedding never gets a vote. It photographs as a modern convention box rather than a landmark, so B&W brings the atmosphere. For association conferences and mid-scale expos it is the value play in central Durban.
