The Grand Arena is Cape Town's answer to a 3,000-seat awards night or a 7,000-cap product moment - there is simply no other fully serviced indoor room this size in the province. Sun International runs banqueting, AV and security under one roof, and the complex's hotels and free parking soak up the logistics. The catch is atmosphere: below roughly 1,500 guests the room feels cavernous, and the walk from parking draws grumbles. B&W drapes and light-maps it hard at the 2,000-3,000 mark and it lands; under that we steer clients elsewhere.
